Worcester DT20RF Replacement
Lots of people are looking for a direct replacement for the Worcester DT20RF. There are two easy things you can do. First one is to go to the official Worcester Bosch website and buy the exact same model. You can buy the receiver on its own [Part No: 22590DR], the Digistat transmitter [Part No: 31003] or both, as they do still stock them. Or, you can buy the Drayton LP20 RF, which is a direct replacement for the Worcester DT20RF. The LP20RF [pictured below] scores very well with users as being accurate, hassle free to install, and simple to use. It also comes with a 1 year parts warranty.
While the Drayton LP20RF [RF562DR] 7 day programmer is largely for newer boilers, it can work with many Worcester Green Star combi boilers that are not all that new, too, including the 30si. Although there is conflicting views and opinions, it can also work with the 24i, Worcester Bosch 28si and Greenstar 28i Junior condensing.
Drayton LP20RF. The RF [Radio Frequency] operates at 433 MHz. The maximum distance from Digistat to Timer is claimed to be approximately 30 meters. However, this is dependent on how many obstructions are in the way, such as walls / brick work, doors, partitions etc. 15 – 20 meters is probably a logical expectation. Up to 3 on/off changes are available per day.
There’s also advance, holiday mode, Override function, RF frequency connection power readout and automatic seasonal time changes. If you’re looking for the PDF user guide / manual for the LP20RF, it can be read / downloaded here.
